On the 7th of December, members of Alfa Shotokan Karate Club took part in a joint grading with the East London JKA club, led by Sensei Yoshinobu Ohta, 7th Dan – Head of Association & Chief Instructor of JKA England. Over 80 students took part in a two hours course. There was a great atmosphere and excellent spirit from all those who attended the training. From white belts to brown, everyone tried their hardest to pass their grading, showing great technical skills in their basics, kumite and kata. Although Sensei Ohta pointed out that many need to work on their stances. Also each kata should show something more than just as memorized sequence of moves. Well done to everyone that took part!
